John Bozzella, president and CEO of Alliance for Automotive innovation, said that it is critical to have a trilateral trade agreement between the US, Canada and Mexico as a 'competitiveness platform' to compete with China in the automotive industry. Bozzella also discussed legislation to bar Chinese autos, saying that popular car company Mercedes would have to seek a waiver due to Chinese ownership stake.
