Four dams gain Pune's 2-month water quota in 24 hours

Khadakwasla dam storage increased substantially after receiving 2.6 TMC of water. Heavy rainfall swelled rivers across Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad regions. Thirteen district dams received over 100mm of rainfall in 24 hours. Water was released from Vadivale and Kalmodi dams as levels crossed 90 percent. Residents near riverbanks were advised to remain cautious due to rising water levels.
